Xarunta Midowga Dhallinyarada Soomaaliyeed or Förenande Somaliska Ungdomscenter (MADJEY) was founded on September 14, 2011 and was officially registered on June 19, 2014. We are a non-profit organization based in Norrköping, Sweden. We also have a branch in Mogadishu, Somalia. The purpose of our charity is to create jobs for disadvantaged people in Somalia like single mothers and widowed parents, in order for them to be independent. We search for sponsors for orphaned and homeless children in Somalia that live in unfortunate circumstances. We seek to bridge the educational divide in Somalia by providing basic necessities of life (food, shelter, water, and education). We are looking to attain this goal by building schools, providing school supplies, expansive curricula and by educating young orphaned children, from elementary school to secondary school levels. We also have a new initiative which supports youth entrepreneurs in Somalia, through training, education and financial support.
To date, we have sponsored the basic necessities of eighty three orphaned children (shelter, nutrition, clothing, and education). In addition, we have sponsored the entrepreneurship of forty five orphaned youth through financial support and training, for the purposes of kick-starting their independence. We also hold various workshops for youth who have had no opportunity to go to school, through motivational speakers to inspire them in their future endeavors. We need your help to make that number grow! We believe that the orphaned youth in Somalia are the future of tomorrow. Please join us in our goal of bridging the pen gap in Somalia!
