Eid Gift Events
Eid Al-Fitr Fundraiser (April 2nd-May 15th 2020) For Orphan Children
First and foremost, we would like to give thanks to Allah (SWT) and secondly to those who donated to this fundraiser.
This fundraiser helped give 163 orphan children the opportunity to have Eid clothing this year. The children live in Banadir, Bay and Lower Shabelle, Somalia. The children were fortunate enough to receive gifts which included the following:
Girls: Hijab, skirts, pants, shoes and hair clips.
Boys: Pants, dress shirts, belts and t-shirts.
Younger children: Toys including: toy phones, sunglasses, balloons and whistles.
Lastly, we would like to thank the MADJEY representative in Somalia Mr. Hassan Mohamed Ahmed, the director of the JEEDO organization Mr. Jabril Mohamed Abukar (Jabril Jazeera) and human rights activist Abdullahi Mahmoud Nur (Abdullahi Asad). Without their hard work and empathy, the children would not have been able to receive gifts this Eid-Al Fitr (2020) during the COVID-19 global pandemic.
